Henry Davis Dinwiddie

Henry Davis Dinwiddie, 91 of  Bedford, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025 at his residence.  He was born on Saturday, November 22, 1933  in Bedford County, a son of the late Thomas H. Dinwiddie and Evelyn Roberts Dinwiddie .  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Walker Dinwiddie, his brothers, Gene and Bob Dinwiddie and sister, Betty Ann Blankenship.

Davis was retired from General Electric, was a member of Bedford Baptist Church, the Moose Lodge #1897, VFW, Ponderosa Sportsmen's Club and was a former member of the Elks Lodge and Jaycees.  He was also a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.  

He is survived by his sons, Randy D. Dinwiddie (Sharon), Darryl E. Dinwiddie (Laurie); grandchildren, Brad D. Dinwiddie, DeAnna Renee Dinwiddie Owens (Jason), Tyler Dinwiddie (Alina), Dustin Dinwiddie (Brooke); his great-grandchildren, Savanna, Kylee, Tucker, Laney, Atlee, Reece, Kaiden, LeighAnna, Calen, Jace & Londyn Grace Dinwiddie, Ada Rae, Makayla, Mayson & Myles Owens and another on the way.  

The family would like to thank the caregivers for their kind and loving care of our father & grandfather.   

The family will receive friend beginning at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and the funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM in the chapel with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  Interment, with military honors by Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Military Honor Guard, will be in Virginia Memorial Park.
