Henry M. Weeks

Henry M. Weeks, 83, went to be with the Lord, his wife, Ella Mae Shelburne Weeks, of 59 years and his son, Henry Weeks, Jr. on Thursday, June 26, 2025. He is also preceded in death by his close and dear brother, Odell, his parents, Henry and Ella Markham Weeks, as well as 15 other brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his four-legged girl, Bella, aka, ‘Queen”; a sister-in-law, Nancy Weeks; niece, Donna and her husband Jerry; great-niece, Trisha and her husband Erick; great-nephew, Jason. He is also survived by Ella’s side of the family, a sister-in-law, Nancy Shelburne; niece, Kathy and her husband Roger; great-nephew, Ryland; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Henry was a kind, hard working man. He loved his dogs and cared for them as his children. Having breakfast with his trucker buddies was a very special part of his day. He thoroughly enjoyed his weekend hobby at the flea market selling his NASCAR diecast.

Henry will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Rev. Dan Carawan officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Avenue SW, Roanoke, VA 24016 or to the local SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Avenue NE, Roanoke, VA 24012.
