Hobert Brewer

Hobert Brewer Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023. He was born in McDowell County, WV on May 7, 1941 to the late Rosa Campbell Brewer and the late Hobert Brewer Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Margaret Hylton Brewer.

Hobert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of North Main Baptist Church where he faithfully served in many capacities. He worked for many years as a Radiology Technologist before his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Hobert is survived by a daughter; Donna Brewer Petty and husband Robert of Floyd, VA; a son; Scott H. Brewer of Lancaster, PA; a sister; Barbara B. Collins of Hopewell, VA; two grandsons; Mark and Adam Petty; nephew; Ray Collins (Debbie); and sister-in-law; Katherine H. Heldreth.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was predeceased by two brother-in-laws; Johnny Collins and J.B. Heldreth Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:00AM at Highland Burial Park, with Pastor Fred Unger officiating. Military Honors will be presented by VFW Post 1097.
