Howard Willis Conner

Mr. Howard Willis Conner, age 78, of Elkin, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at Atrium-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1945, in Surry County, to the late Junior and Lela Conner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Conner; and his sister, Shirley York (Don).

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Linda Stanley Conner; his son, Adam Conner; his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Jeff Brock; grandchildren, Scottie Brock, Mae-Lyn Brock, Peyton Conner, Aubrey Conner and Roman Conner; a special daughter-in-law, Katie Stowe; sister, Gladys Norman; a brother, Larry Conner; and special friends, Dennis and Mildred Stanley, and Jack Stanley.

Mr. Conner was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather, retired from the city of Pilot Mountain, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, and fishing, and was a member of New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visitation for Mr. Conner will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 PM at New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. Services will begin at 2:00 PM in the church, with Rev. Gary Sawyers and Brother Lee Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Conner family.
