Hubert Jay Brainard

Hubert Jay Brainard, 88, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024. He was born December 23, 1934, in Glens Falls, New York, to the late Lester Brainard and Anita Graves Brainard.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Sonny Brainard and David Brainard.Hubert loved NASCAR; Joey Logano was his favorite driver. He enjoyed watching baseball, Washington Nationals was his favorite team. Hubert loved tinkering in his garage and mowing the yard and he occasionally liked working with the flowers.He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Sherry Brainard; daughter, Andrea Fields (Casey); son, Jerry Larmore; brother, Dudley Brainard; grandchildren, Jake, Cheyenne, Caitlin, and Casey, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Amelia, and Addlynn.Services will be held at a later date.
