Hunter Evan Williams

January 12, 1990 - July 17, 2025

Hunter Evan Williams, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and community advocate, passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 35 in Christiansburg, Virginia. Born on January 12, 1990, in Montgomery County, Virginia, Hunter was a beacon of hope and joy to all who knew him.

Hunter was the beloved son of Amy Jill Martin and Chris Williams. He grew up surrounded by the love of his grandparents, Janice Sargent and Bobby Williams (Judy), and was enveloped in a close-knit family that included his sister, Mandi Lee Jones (Mario), along with his adored niece and nephews, Jayda, Jakoda, and Joah Jones. He was also a cherished nephew to his aunts and uncles, Vicki Jones (Doug), Keith Evan Martin, Eddie, Janice, and Robb Williams. Hunter was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Carol Lee Martin, grandfather Rowland Hudson, and his uncle Todd Martin, all of whom had a profound influence on his life.

Hunter's passion for helping others was evident through his work as a case manager for NRV Community Services. His empathy and dedication made a significant impact on many lives, particularly as a mentor to those who struggled with addiction. His unwavering faith and devotion to God guided him in his mission to serve and uplift his community.

An avid sports fan, Hunter never missed a Giles High School football game and was a steadfast supporter of Virginia Tech, attending all their games with enthusiasm. His love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for kayaking, and his zest for life shone through in his ability to do backflips with ease—a testament to his joyful spirit and love for adventure. Hunter's interests extended beyond sports and the outdoors; he was an aficionado of country music. His commitment to fitness was apparent to anyone who knew him, as he was a regular at the gym, always working out with a purpose. Perhaps one of Hunter's most endearing qualities was his compassion for animals, exemplified by his care for his disabled dog, Luna. He provided her with a loving home and showed her the same unconditional love and patience that he extended to all living beings.
