Ida Joan Francis Wray

Ida Joan Francis Wray, 81 passed away on November 15, 2023. She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on September 23, 1942 to the late Bertha Hale Jones Francis and the late James Howard Francis. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Mr. John Daniel Wray Jr.

Ida was of the Christian faith, and worked for many years as a sales consultant at various retail stores.

Ida is survived by a daughter; Teresa Jeter and husband David of Danville, VA; three sons; John Daniel Wray III of Blairs, VA, Timothy Howard Wray and wife Donna Jones Wray of Danville, VA, and Tony Wayne Wray of Blairs, VA.; five grandchildren; Melissa Broadway (Michael), Justin Wray, Amanda Brumblough (Bruce), Brandy Shelton (Nick), and Alex Jeter; twelve great grandchildren; Kalynn, Kaylee, Faith, Mia, Addisyn, Gracie, Devin, Damian, Keeley, Wyatt, Holden and Asher; and one great great grandchild; Zoey.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ida was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
