Irene Kastner Edwards

 
Irene Kastner Edwards age 85 of Wirtz passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a retired Medical Assistant and loved her job and the patients. She will be missed by all.
 
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Edwards; sons, Glenn Edwards (Denise), and Dean Edwards (Cathy); her grandchildren, Abby Witt (Daryl), James Edwards (Clenell), and Jessica Edwards; great-grandchildren, Tommy Witt, Jaselyn Edwards, and Ben Witt; sisters, Martha Williams (Ronald), Elizabeth Reid (Wayne), and Jeanette Heazelett (Ted). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
 
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2023 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Chaplain Joe Elmore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
