Irene Wilson Eanes

Irene Wilson Eanes, 92. went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at home with her family at her side. She was a native of Henry County, VA and was the daughter of the late Grady H. and Annie Robertson Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her brother Grady A. Wilson; sister Lorene Grubb; nieces, Lori Kay Grubb and Penny Horsley; nephew, Scott Willis; brother-in-law, Ronnie Horsley and sister-in-law, Ann Wilson.

She will be missed and remembered by her children, Wanda Dunnigan, Clifford Eanes (Randa), Richard Eanes (Tammy), Kathy Jo Padgett; grandchildren, Heather Zollman, Brad Zollman (Emily), Christopher Eanes, Matthew Eanes (Ashlie), Ryan Eanes (Crystal), Jackson Padgett, Bryan Grubb, Kara Padgett, Isaac Padgett; great-grandchildren, Schylar, Sawyer, Eli, Stella, Samuel, Caeden, Bella, Cora, Jameson, Evelyn, Casey, Kayla; sisters, Bobbie Sue Wilson, Modene Willis (Ronnie), Patsy Horsley, Brenda Hopper (Steve); brothers-in-law, Eddie Grubb and Wayne O’Dell; daughter of the heart, Mary Beth Nash, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Villa Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Crane officiating.
