Iris Mae Wyatt Spencer

Iris Mae Wyatt Spencer, 76, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away March 10, 2023, at Sovah Health Martinsville. She was born April 26, 1946, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Charles
Wyatt and Vida Barbour Wyatt.

In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Mahoney; and brother, Alvin Wyatt.

Iris worked for BB&T for twenty years, and was a member of Friendly Christian Church. She enjoyed riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway, picnics, and loved flowers. She loved to spend time with her family and crafting.

Surviving are her husband, Maynard Lee Spencer; sons, Steve Spencer (Christy) and Chris Spencer (Heather); grandchildren, Brandon Spencer (Susan), Stephen Spencer (Megan), Glen Witt (Brittany), Tiffany Spencer (Brandon), Samantha Tuggle (Ashley), Conner Smith, and Baylie Spencer; and great grandchildren, Kylie Spencer, Lucas Spencer, Riley Ottaway, Paisley Witt, Sadie Spencer, Hudson Spencer, Maybel Spencer, and Bentley Witt.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
