Isabel Cesafsky Hundley

October 27, 1939 - April 11, 2026

Isabel Grace Wallace Cesafsky Hundley, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Cushing Wallace, III., and Kate Bernard Hyatt Wallace.

Born October 27, 1939, Isabel was truly known for her loving, kind and generous spirit. She would show her love and care for those around her by knitting handmade blankets to cherish as a physical representation of her love. Isabel was a people’s person; everyone who talked with her would become a friend of hers for life. Those in her circle know she loved playing cards with her friends and lovingly recount how she would make the rules up to games as she went. Isabel also loved to travel, namely to her favorite spot at Snug Harbor, N.C. where she developed many close friendships with the locals and truly enjoyed herself. She will be deeply and forever missed.

In addition to her parents Isabel is preceded in death by her first husband John J. Cesafsky.

Those left to cherish Isabel’s memory include her children Kate “Collee” Coleman and her husband David, Jon Hyatt Cesafsky, Jay Wallace Cesafsky; her grandchildren David Coleman, Jr., Myles “Millie” Coleman and her husband Chris Baker, Natalie Coleman and her husband Roomi Khan; Quinn Koffler and her husband Chris, Wesley Cesafsky and his wife Bethany, Red Cesafsky; her former husband Preston B. Hundley, Jr., and his children Beth Younger and her husband Chuck and their children Sarah Younger and Chris and Laura Lynn; Mary Long and her daughter Chelsea Long; along with her six great-grandchildren as well as numerous and far reaching friends and the love she had for all of them.

There will be a memorial Celebration of Life service for Isabel on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2pm at Mt. Tabor Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Joyce Austin.
