Jackie Kyle Meeks

Jackie Kyle Meeks, age 72 of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was born September 18, 1951, a son of the late Joe Henry Meeks Jr. and Betty Jane Gregory Meeks. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Debra “Debbie” Meeks; two sons, William Meeks and Patrick (Tonya) Meeks; granddaughter, Abby Meeks who was his “Little One”; brothers, Ricky Meeks, Teddy (Betty) Meeks and Jerry (Velvet) Meeks; sister-in-law, Delores (Larry) Anderson; several nieces and nephews. Jackie was a member of the Franklin County Rescue Squad for many years. He owned and operated Jackie Meeks Hauling and Excavating and was known by his CB radio handle as “Fat Jack.” A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at the home of Larry and Delores Anderson (127 Windy Ridge Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151) with a service starting at 6:30 p.m. with Mr. Randy Jones officiating. His family will also receive friends Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to assist with expenses.
