Jacqueline Hyler Wade

Jacqueline Hyler Wade, age 83 of Danville, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Duke University Medical Center. Mrs. Wade was born May 22, 1941 in Danville, Virginia to the late Empress Scearce Hyler and the late Morris Hyler. She was married to Jerry Wayne Wade, Sr., who predeceased her in 2014.

She worked as an inspector with Dupont until her retirement. She will always be remembered as a kindhearted and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone she knew.

Mrs. Wade is survived by her daughter, Betty G. Griffin, her son, Jerry Wayne Wade, Jr. (Michelle); her granddaughter, Danielle Gates (Jack); and her beloved great-granddaughter that is “on the way”. Also her beloved pet companion, “Hoochie Bean”.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Donnie Greene; and her sister, Betty Lou Hyler.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Church with Pastor Jason Austin officiating. She will be laid to rest at Danville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the service. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
