Jacqueline Maria Smith “Jackie”, 62, of Bassett, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Sovah Health - Martinsville. She was born on February 11, 1960, in Newport, RI to the late Kenneth Roland Miller and the late Virginia Barnes Miller. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Bray.
Jackie is survived by two daughters and three sons, Hosea Miller, Christopher Hughes, Bridgett Branch, Emmett Smith, III and Tina Shelton; 10 grandchildren; her canine companions, Hippie and Chewy.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jason Alverson officiating.
