Jacqueline Louise Underwood

Jacqueline Louise Taylor Paitsel Underwood, 88, 105 Clover Lane, Selma, Virginia died Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at LewisGale Hospital Alleghany.

Jackie was born in West Virginia on August 16, 1934 a daughter of the late Paul and Doricha Parker Taylor. She was an Automotive Fabricator at the former Lear Corporation in Covington. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Clifton Forge. Additionally, she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed playing poker with family members, and enjoyed the home life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lee B. Underwood; sons: Michael, Steven, and Richard Paitsel; sisters, Jean Plott and Betty Tolley; and by a brother, Randy Taylor.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Karen Patterson and Judy Paitsel of Iron Gate and Mary Kugler and husband Ron of Hilton Head; 3 Sons, Robert, Alpha and Walter Paitsel all of Selma; a brother Richard Taylor of Texas, 19 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and a Host of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday morning, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. from Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with the Rev. Bill Hartsfield officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no visitation at Nicely Funeral Home.
