James “Cracker” Sapp, 61, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Andrea Dene Dooley; father, Carl; grandparents, Andrew and Josephine Sapp; and other family members.
Cracker is survived by his daughter, Jessica; brothers, Elwood Dooley (Mo) and Ricky Fields; sister, Rebecca Welch; uncles, Jimmy Sapp and Butch Sapp; aunt, Susan Creasy; special friend, James Willie Parcell; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 4:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019, officiated by Pastor Troy Mays.
