James Calvin Miller

James Calvin Miller, Jr., 39, of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was born July 21, 1985, in Killeen, Texas, to James Calvin Miller, Sr. and Deborah Ann Galloway Miller.

James was a dedicated trainer with Midline and a proud graduate of Martinsville High Scool, Class of 2003. He went on to earn his degree in Business Administration from Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama, where he graduated with honor as a member of Kappa. James had a true passion for mentoring and made a meaningful impact on many young lives, serving as a mentor within the Brunham Alabama School System. He loved children dearly and was devoted to his family, always striving to set a positive example. A loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, James also enjoyed playing golf and spent many hours watching football and basketball. His kindness, leadership, and warm spirit touched everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughter, Aubrey Ross Miller, son, James Calvin Miller, III; and his brothers, Rodrick Miller and Zachary Miller.

The funeral will be held Saturday, July 12, at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park, Spencer, Virginia. A visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service. There will be a floating visitation Friday, July 11, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
