James Carl Roberts

James Carl “J.C.” Roberts, 56, of Troutville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on Saturday, February 8, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Arnold Roberts and Margaret Owens Roberts.

J.C. is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Loretta “Sissy” Roberts; stepchildren, Gary W. Mitchell, Brian K. Mitchell (Felicia), and Mark C. Mitchell; and many loving cousins and special friends.

He worked at LOWE’S on 419 for 34 years as a Lumber Associate. He met lots of people and was loved by many.

He loved hunting, fishing, and taking many trips with his loving wife Sissy. He loved and adored his family pets, Elvis and Priscilla. He was a very kind person with a big heart who was always willing to help out where needed. J.C. was loved by all who came in contact with him. He will be sadly missed by all. He loved the Lord.

The family will have a Visitation on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019. A Graveside will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00am at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, VA 24012, with Pastor Bruce Gregory officiating.
