James Clifford Carter Jr. Obituary James Clifford Carter Jr., 83, of Salem, Va., and formerly of Pulaski, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2024.Jimmy was a proud veteran having served in the US Navy. He was a truck driver for many years and was also a part of the John M. Oakey & Son staff family.Preceding him in death were his parents, James Clifford Sr and Esther Ruth Stoots Carter; in-laws, Herman and Margaret Wise; and children, Anthony Carter, Michelle Carter, and Sean Carter.His surviving family includes his wife, Sharon Wise Carter; daughter, Tisa Carter; and many other family members.The family extends appreciation to Blue Ridge Therapy Connections and Mountain Valley Hospice for their loving care.A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be conducted on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the John M.
