James Douglas Walker

James Douglas Walker, 70, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1954, in Martinsville, Va. to James Curtis Walker and Barbara Massey Walker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Wright Walker and his son, John Taylor Walker.

He is survived by his son, James Douglas Walker, Jr.; brothers, Richard Davis Walker and Roger Dale Walker; and many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Doug was the owner and operator of Doug’s Imports until his retirement on October 31, 2022. He always enjoyed the challenge of solving complex electrical and mechanical issues on imported cars. Doug loved and greatly appreciated all his faithful customers.

Doug enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and had

really missed his wife, Lynn, and their many motorcycle rides together.

He loved his poodle “Peaches”. He also enjoyed watching

NASCAR races, Redskins football and Virginia Tech ballgames.

He proudly served his country in the Army where he received the National Defense Service Medal.

A private graveside service will be held at Ross Harbour

Methodist Church Cemetery, in Stuart, Va. and will be officiated by Kelly Ratcliff.
