James Edward Williams

James Edward Williams, Sr. 72, of Patrick Springs, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at his residence. He was born June 1, 1952, in Georgia. He is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Worth.

James was a devoted employee at Doyle Lumber Company. In his spare time, he loved fishing, working outdoors, operating his tractor, doing yard work, and woodworking. Above all, he cherished moments with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda J. Williams; one daughter, Amanda Padgett (Shane); one son, James Edward Williams, Jr. (Morgan); three grandchildren, Kenzie Williams, Chloe Padgett, and Jonathan Padgett; and one fur baby, Benji.

The visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Samuel Leonard officiating.
