James "Jamie" Randolph Smith

James “Jamie” Randolph Smith, age 55, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, passed away December 5, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jeannie Bender Smith; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Dannie Smith; and maternal grandmother, Leota “Betty” Howell.Jamie is survived by his loving wife, Dreama Sigmon Smith; his three sons, Landon Jamie (Abby) Smith, Logan Garrett Smith and Calvin James Phillips; bonus daughters, Megan (Theodore) Hodges and Logan (BJ) Davis; his three granddaughters that he loved deeply, Addie and Gracelyn Hodges and Emmie Davis; father, Gerald Randolph “Randy” Smith; and brother, Randy Lynn Smith and his daughters, Brittany and Brooklyn; special aunt, Mary Lou (Armand) Denis; and honorary parents, Jack and the late Patsy Smith. He is also survived by numerous family and many special friends.Jamie had a lifetime passion for farming and a love for hunting. Jamie had a contagious smile and a heart of gold with the most giving, caring person always going above and beyond to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Funeral services will be conducted from Henry Fork Community Church 10 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 with Rev. Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges-Lynch Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
