James "Jb" Brack Duke

James “JB” Brack Duke, 87, of Buchanan, left his earthly home on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Landes Duke; parents, Alfred and Polly Duke; and siblings, Viola Morris, Tommy Duke, Dewey Duke, and Earcel Wright.

JB is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Tony Blackburn and Carol and Luke Winand. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Whitney Blackburn, Blake Winand (Natalie Harper) and Molly Winand (Jeffrey Hannah). He was also Grandaddy to one great-grandchild, Bracksley James Winand, who has been a bright spot thru this cancer journey. JB is also survived by siblings, Madeline “Bugs” Markham and Will (Ann) Duke; and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. The family wishes to thank his caregivers Pam Crabb, Marcie Harless, and his Amedysis Hospice ladies, Debra and Monica, what a time of angels he had on his side.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, September 28, 2024, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor JR Graybill officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Friday, September 27, 2024, at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan.
