James "Jim" A. Esson

James “Jim” Alexander Esson, 73, of Salem passed away on February 19, 2023.

Jim was born in Portland, Oregon on November 11, 1949 to William and Frances Esson, both deceased. He was very proud of being a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Geology and Anthropology. Jim also received a degree from Arizona State in Communications. He retired from General Electric where he was a Technical Writer Editor. Jim was full of life and enjoyed spending time with people and his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pamela Esson; brother, Billy Esson of Arizona; five nieces and nephews, Virginia, Wilson, Valerie, Stuart, and Diana; and several other loving family members.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, 1330 East Main Street, on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Ohio State Fund for Scholarships.
