James Lee Athey

James Lee Athey, 55, of Martinsville , passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1967 to Orville Athey and the late Kathern Bailey Athey. In addition to his mother, he was preceded death by his sister, Audrey Athey, and a nephew, Brandon Athey.

 In addition to his father, he is survived by his two daughters, Brooke Athey, and Morgan Athey; brother, Kirk Athey; former wife and longtime friend, Deborah McGhee; four grandchildren, Dawson Noe, Tucker Noe, Aubree Mcbride, and Maisie Webster; and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service.
