James Michael Stanley

Mr. James Michael Stanley, age 68, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born May 9, 1957, in Surry County, to the late John Grover Stanley and the late Nervia Frances Hill Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gaynelle Eaton; and his brother Verlin Stanley.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Cassidy Stanley and her husband, Jacob Watkins; sons, Michael Stanley, Josh Stanley, and Craig Easter; grandchildren, Kayden, Avery, and Madison; his brother, John Grover Stanley Jr.; and his brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Diane Stanley.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2025, in The Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Stanley family.
