James Oscar Smith

James Oscar Smith, 71, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024. He was born in Danville, VA on February 23, 1952 to the late Erlene Howard Smith.

James was of the Christian faith and worked for many years in the Sanitation Department for the City of Danville previous to his retirement.

James is survived by a step sister; Elizabeth Kay Howard of Jacksonville, FL; two step brothers; John Edward Howard and Melvin Howard both of Florida; and special friends; Charles Walker and his wife Nancy H. Walker, Ryan Walker, Earl Roach, Darryl Martin, and Craig Glenn.
