Jim grew up in Denver, Colorado, and over the years, he made homes in Texas, Missouri, and Virginia. A man of many passions, Jim’s life was filled with vibrant pursuits. He was an avid outdoorsman who cherished hunting and fishing. His love for travel and motorcycles often led him to explore the countryside, sharing his joy by taking others along for the ride. Jim proudly served his country as a member of the Navy during the Korean War and later in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. His patriotism and commitment to service were constants throughout his life.

Jim deeply valued his family. He was a devoted husband to Linda Cameron for 30 wonderful years, a loving father to his children and step-children, and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather. He delighted in sharing meals, stories, and laughter with those he loved.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Cameron and Dorothy Lucille Cameron. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Cameron; his daughter, Linda Alexander, and her husband, Chuck; his son, Greg Cameron, and his wife, Debbie; his son, Rob Cameron; and his four step-children, Brian and his wife, Cynthia; Brad and his wife, Jenny; Becky and her husband, Nathan; and Brenda. The family will honor Jim’s memory with a private celebration of life at a later date. Whitten Timberlake Chapel is assisting the family during this time of remembrance.
