Jan Candace Nichols

Jan Candace Drye Nichols, 75, of Evington passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, at her residence. She was born Sunday, October 8, 1950, to the late Arnold Drye & Freda Wyatt Drye. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Marshall Nichols, Sr.

Jan was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Huppert (John); sons, Linwood Nichols, Jr., Jesse Arnold Nichols & Adam Wyatt Nichols ( Mandy); grandchildren, Jesse Hancock, Adam Nichols, Jr., Hannah Hurt, Emma Steinbruegge, Emily Nichols, Autumn Nichols, Mia Huppert; seven great grandchildren; brother, Lane Drye (Linda); sister, Jo Alice Rosenthal (Herb); mother-in-law, Mary Nichols; and many nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Janney officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston.
