Jane Whitfield Painter

Jane Whitfield Painter of Salem, VA died October 28, 2024. She was born February 20, 1936 in Pearisburg, VA to the late Bessie Charlton Painter and George Whitfield Painter.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salem, VA, member of Alpha Delta Kappa since 1962, and serving as regional and international President.

Jane taught at Andrew Lewis and Salem High Schools for 36 years. Jane graduated from Pearisburg High School and James Madison University receiving her BS in education and her Masters in Education from Radford University.

She is survived by cousins, Larry Dillon and Robert R. Dillon and many friends.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on October 31, 2024  from 9:30 a.m until 10 a.m.   A memorial service will follow at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Houff and Pastor Alan Combs officiating.
