Janet White Carter, 79, Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born December 11, 1944, In Bassett, Virginia, to the late Roy Lance White and Mary Ida Gammons White.In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Henry Edward Carter; son, Jeffrey Todd Carter; sisters, Sally Bryant and Betty Wingfield; brothers, Michael White and James White.Janet was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and Horsepasture Christian Church. She was a dedicated employee of Duke Energy where she worked as a System Account Analyst. Janet loved working with special needs children in Henry County as a School Bus Aid. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling with her league.She is survived by her son, Mark Steven Carter; sister, Mary Sutton; brother, R.W. White; grandchildren, Travis Christian Carter, Zachery James Carter, Tyler Elizabeth Carter; and one great grandchild, Remy Wesley Carter.All services will be private.Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
