Janice Ione Martin Stultz

May 20, 1938 – December 20, 2022

 

Janice peacefully left her earthly life surrounded by family at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Leigh Stultz; her parents, Raymond and Margaret Martin; sister and brother-in-law, June and George Wright; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Doris Martin.

She is survived by her children and their spouses; Charlene and Charlie Aleshire, Lesley and Tom Cerva, Schuyler and Heidi Stultz, Gerri and Ross Evans. In addition she is survived by her brother, Kenneth Martin; a sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Wayne Ramsey; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Ryan. Her life is celebrated with 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren in addition to other family members.

Janice and her husband participated in various service and community efforts. She was a member of the Women’s Bowling Association; active with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, worked at Roanoke Mills in Salem alongside her mother and two sisters. Janice was also active in Welcome Wagon and retired from American Greetings in addition to other opportunities.

Her interests included bowling, reading, crafts, crochet, and sewing. She was loved and respected by all who met her.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
