Jeanette Yeatts Wood

Jeanette “Jenny” Yeatts Wood, 76, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 16, 1948, in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Edna Willia Yeatts Love and the late Charlie Ramsey Yeatts. She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Richard D. Wood.

Jeanette was of the Christian Faith, and a member of County Line Christian Church. She worked for many years in Medical Records at SOVAH Health-Martinsville Hospital previous to her retirement.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons; Jerry “Jay” Blair II and wife April of Danville, VA, Jared Blair and wife Ashlee of Gretna, VA; and Steven D. Wood of Danville, VA; five grandchildren; Cecelia “Cece” Mae Phillips, Olivia Ray Blair, Charlotte Danielle Blair, Madison Shawn Blair, Kathryn Dawn Blair,and her mother-in-law; Ann Marie Wood. Also, special adopted family, Matt, Tiffany, and Ryleigh Adams

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers; Charlie Alfred Yeatts, Bennett Haymes “Pete” Yeatts, Garnett Wayne Yeatts, Aubrey Lee Yeatts, and Darrell Edward Yeatts and a special stepfather; Dan Love.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00 am, at County Line Christian Church, 12711 Chatham Road, Axton, VA 24054, officiated by Ministers Dean Ashby and Tim Maness. A Visitation will be held prior to the service on the same day from 10-11:00 am. A private interment at Highland Burial Park will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to County Line Christian Church in remembrance of Jeanette.
