`Jeanne Marie Christian, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2024. She was born in April 7, 1963 to the late Rondell W. Christian and Jeanne Rae McBurney Veveto. Jeanne was a woman of remarkable achievements and diverse passions. She took pride in her life's journey and found joy in the simplest of pleasures. Gardening, horseback riding, and the thrill of putt-putt golf were among her favorite pastimes. As a member of the Roanoke Pinball League, she found camaraderie and excitement in the game. Graduating from Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia, in the class of 1981, Jeanne pursued her academic aspirations at Virginia Tech, where she earned a degree in Accounting Information Systems in 1986. Her professional life was marked by excellence, garnering awards for her outstanding performance in the field of finance. Yet, beyond her professional pursuits, Jeanne's faith was an integral part of her identity. Her heart was touched by the church in Africa, particularly Kenya, where she devoted herself to missionary work, leaving an indelible impact on those she encountered. Jeanne is survived by her cherished child, Sarah Reynolds of Roanoke, and her siblings Terri Deans (Wade), Elizabeth Christian, and Mary Heath, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
