Jeffrey Clanton Bowling

Jeffrey Clanton Bowling, 60, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away at his home on Monday, September 1, 2025. He was born in Martinsville, Virginia, on October 12, 1964, to the late Dewey Bowling and the late Frances Gunter Bowling.

Jeffrey was a devoted stay-at-home dad who lovingly cared for his daughter and grandson. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, searching for antiques, and spending time on the porch watching the animals.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 38 years, Virginia Faye Bowling; daughter, Tabitha Bowling; grandson, Nathaniel Eggleston; brother, William Bowling (Teresa); sister, Cindy Jefferson (Ronald); two special friends, Tracy Blankenship and Randolph Scott; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Ronald Jefferson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
