Jerry Dean Combs

Mr. Jerry Dean Combs, age 73, of Mt. Airy, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy. He was born on September 24, 1952 in Avery County to the late Coy and Georgia Grindstaff Combs. Left to cherish his memory are sons, Steven Wayne Combs and Zackary Wayne Combs; granddaughter, Lori Elizabeth Combs; brother, Joseph Combs. In addition to his parents Mr. Combs was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Morefield Combs. A private graveside service will be held at King Community Church Cemetery with service conducted by Bro. Ricky Cothren and Bro. Chris Danley. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
