Jerry Duane Wilkerson

Jerry Duane Wilkerson, 79, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 14, 2025. Jerry was born in Danville, VA to the late Barbara Mae Stowe Wilkerson and the late Frederick T. Wilkerson. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mrs. Doris Eanes Wilkerson.

Jerry was of the Christian Faith, and was a member of Holland Road Baptist Church for over fifty years, where he proudly served on the Deacon board, was a Sunday School Teacher, drove the church bus, and sang in the choir. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Wilkerson Construction Company, previous to his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by a son; Frederick Wilkerson and wife Elisa of Danville, VA; a daughter Annette Doll and husband Ted of Richmond, VA; a sister; RaVonda Davis and husband Ken; a sister in law; Kathy Wilkerson; an uncle; Thomas Stowe and wife Linda; and seven grandchildren; Morgan Doll, Ashton Doll, Catherine Doll, Chandler Doll, Bella Wilkerson, Paul Wilkerson, and Luke Wilkerson. He is also survived by numerous loving family members.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a brother; Daniel Wilkerson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 2:00pm at Norris West End Chapel, Danville, VA, with Minister Hershel Stone and Pastor W.L. Wade officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held previous to the service on the same day from 1-2:00pm, also at Norris West End Chapel, Danville, VA.
