Jerry "Smurf" Spicer

July 19, 1965 - September 2, 2023

Jerry Wayne “Smurf” Spicer, 58 of Narrows, Virginia departed this life September 2, 2023 in his daughter, Brittany Stinnett’s home. Born in Pearisburg, VA on July 19, 1965 he was a son of Polly Ann Farley Spicer and the late Eugene “Eukey” Clifford Spicer.

Smurf worked for several years in production at Celanese. His greatest joy of life was spent in time with his family. Smurf also enjoyed cutting wood, trout fishing, antiques and cooking.

In addition to his father (Eukey Spicer), he is preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Farley; sister-in-law, Angie Farley; nephew, Luzon Farley; niece, Courtney Spicer; and great-niece, Sadie Agnor.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his mother, Polly Spicer of Narrows; sons, Justin Spicer (Amanda) of Narrows, and Brandon Spicer (Arlene Griggs) of Narrows; daughters, Brittany Stinnett (Austin) of Copper Hill, Virginia; grandchildren, Annie Stinnett, Easton Stinnett, Aubrey Hart, Kinsley Spicer, Addison Spicer, Bryson Spicer, Brody Spicer, Nolan Spicer, and Dawson Copeland; brothers, Jason Spicer (Sue) of Narrows, Kevin Spicer of Narrows, Fuzzy Farley of Pembroke, and Commodore Spicer (Karen) of Appomatox, Virginia; sister, Gail Duncan (Ken) of Narrows; Best Friend, Rodney Spicer; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A visitation will be held where family extend a welcome to friends and family on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Kidd officiating.
