Jerry Wayne Welcher

Jerry Wayne Welcher 72, of Roanoke, VA, passed away peacefully on March 16th, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Stormy Dawn, her husband Paul, and their cherished children Braxton and Brooks Brewer. Jerry is also remembered fondly by his sisters, Wanda (John) Rinehart and Brenda Fowler, his brother, Stevie Welcher, and nieces, Michelle Lowder, Melissa (Don) Fitzgerald, Jennifer (Billy) Feger, and Sandra Fowler, along with many other family members and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Cleo Edwards Vanness, father Sunny Leon Welcher, and brother Danny Ray "Dopey" Welcher.

Jerry was known for his wild, fierce spirit, storytelling, and unwavering love and support for his family and closest friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A casual visitation to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at Simpson's Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA on Saturday, March 23rd, from 4-6 pm.
