Jesse Layne Reynolds

Jesse L. Reynolds, age 23, of Snow Creek in Franklin County, Virginia, passed away on September 22, 2025, at The University of Missouri Hospital. He was born on July 25, 2002, in Rocky Mount, Virginia, and was the beloved son of Steven and Kari Reynolds. Jesse was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda F. Reed; his paternal grandfather, Gary L. Reynolds; and a special grandparent, Linda Bridgeman. 

He leaves behind his devoted parents, Steven and Kari Reynolds; his brother, Derick “D.J.” Reynolds; his paternal grandmother, Susan M. Reynolds; grandparents Gary and Barbara Fleming; his grandfather, R. Leon Reed; his aunts, Shailley Rose (Roger) and Lorrie Reynolds; his uncle, Rodney Fleming; and several cousins. 

Jesse graduated from Franklin County High School and worked at The Greene Company through Ameristaff. He was known for his intelligence and quick wit and was always willing to help his family whenever they needed him. Jesse formed strong friendships with everyone who cared for him. In his leisure time, he enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and playing video games. 

A memorial service honoring Jesse’s life will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Norris Funeral Services-Martinsville Chapel. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation one hour prior to the service. Lewis Harris will be officiating the service.
