Jesse Luther Ferguson

Jesse Luther Ferguson, 79, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 23, 1944, in Franklin County, VA to the late Irvin Ferguson and Josephine Young Ferguson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-one years, Marie Mize Ferguson, and stepdaughter, Shelia Kennett Epling.Mr. Ferguson was a member of Bassett Church of the brethren, where he taught Sunday School. He owned and operated Jesse’s Auto Repair for forty-five years and later retired from Riverside Tire.He is survived by his siblings, Betty Mize, Mary Cook (John), James Ferguson (Joyce), and Dennis Ferguson (Brenda); step-granddaughter, Lindsey Epling; step-great-granddaughter, Mariah Hariston; and his best friend, Jack Nash.Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Norris Funeral Services. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024, with Doug Jones officiating at Norris Funeral Services. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Bobby Rakes officiating.Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory, Martinsville, VA is serving the Ferguson family.
