Jesse Steward Terry

Jesse Steward Terry, 87, of Madison Heights, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Beverly Geraldine Terry of 56 years.

Born in Bedford, Virginia on September 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Steward Loving Terry and the late Cecile Hamilton Terry. He was a member of the Monacan tribe. Jesse worked at Allen Morrison Sign Company for 34 years. After retirement, he served at several other jobs until he finally fully retired at the age of 85. His favorite pastimes included hunting and taking care of his family and home. He never met a stranger and was loved by many.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Geraldine Branham of Madison Heights; three sons, Danny of Madison Heights, Chris (Jennifer) of Monroe, and Ray (Joy) of Shipman; 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Monacan Indian Nation, 111 Highview Dr, Madison Heights, VA 24572, on October 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
