Jewell Hunt

Mary Jewell Cundiff Hunt age 88 of Rocky Mount is now sitting at the feet of Jesus worshipping Him. She passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

She was born on September 3, 1934 a daughter of the late William and Mattie Brooks Cundiff. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin C. “Ben” Hunt; brothers, Billy Cundiff, Herbert Cundiff, Andrew Cundiff; sister, Myrtle C. Carter; brother-in-law, Donnie Hunley.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Sheila H. and Vincent Copenhaver; her granddaughter, Victoria C. Tripp and her husband, Bryant; sisters, Juanita C. Plybon (Calvin) and Betty Hunley; brother, Bobby Cundiff (Brenda); sisters-in-law, Elva Cundiff, Joyce Cundiff and Lottie Cundiff.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Franklin Heights Church with Pastors Stan Parris and J. Larry Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10thfrom 5 to 7 PM at the church.
