Jimmy Ray Gravely

Mr. Jimmy Ray Gravely, age 77 of Mount Airy passed away on Friday April 26, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born April 7, 1947, in Surry County to the late William Clinton Gravely and Thelma Ethel Hudson Gravely. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving is his daughter and her fiancé, Gina Gravely and Jarad Morton; son and his fiancée, Tim Gravely and Courtney Blackburn; a grandchild, Ethan Morton; a sister and brother-in-law, Glenda Gravely Norman and Roger; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gravely was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Gail Norman Gravely; and two brothers, Samuel “Sam” Jackson Gravely and William Leo Gravely. A funeral service will be on Monday, April 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Maple Spring Baptist Church with Reverend Woody Flippin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 30, 2024, at Maple Spring Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
