Joan Snow Belton

Ms. Joan Snow Belton, age 73, of Dobson, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born, February 17, 1950, in Surry County to the late Loyd Edward Snow and the late Lavern Davis Snow.

Ms. Belton was a lifelong and faithful member of Double Creek Church of Christ where she was a song leader and worked with the youth choir. She also worked as an accountant for T-N-T Carports and was a devoted mother and grandmother that loved nothing more than going to her grandchildren’s ballgames, rodeos and recitals.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Megan Belton and Timmy Belton; her grandchildren, Saige Belton, Sawyer Belton, Gracie Belton, Josh Belton, and Brooklyn Belton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Reta Snow , and Randy and Lisa Snow; and her nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece Sherry Scott. Visitation will beMonday, October 9, 2023 from 12:30-2:00 PMat Double Creek Church of Christ. Funeral services will beginat 2:00in the church, with Rev. John Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home,945 Zephyr Road, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Belton family.
