Joanne Poole Crabtree
JOANNE POOLE CRABTREE, 53, of Bland, VA, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Heritage Hall Blacksburg. She was born November 19, 1970 in Allegheny, NC, the daughter of the late Charlie Gene & Betty Lou Bobbitt Poole.
Joanne was a loving, sweet and strong woman who would do anything for anyone. She loved her family very much but her grandchildren were the light of her world and they felt the same of her. From the words her granddaughter, Anna, penned: I love you so much MawlMawl. I know you’re with me in spirit and I am glad you are in a better place with no pain or hurt. I will always be your first grandbaby. I miss you more than anything, yet, I am so happy you stayed while you did. You helped me so much over the 14 years I have spent with you. I love you so much and I couldn’t ever replace you. I know you will always be watching over me and everyone else you love and loved. The title of MawlMawl is earned, not given. You certainly earned it. Yet, it’s hard to see you go but I know you’re healed no. You’re gonna be flying high over those mountain trees and in the golden gates of Heaven. I know I will see you again some day. The Lord has a plan for everyone and you are special. No ones the same, because God created you and each of us is different than anyone because of the Lord.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Gene & Betty Lou Bobbitt Poole, and many aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish her memory are her best friend, her daughter & son-in-law, Alicia & Andrew Dalton; her grandchildren, Anna Dalton, Amy Dalton and Jacob Dalton; her brother & sister-in-law, Pastor Elvis & Rhonda Poole; special friend, Tammy and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dalton Family Cemetery with her brother, Pastor Elvis Poole officiating.
