John Albert Woody

John Albert Woody, passed away at the age of 63, December 10, 2025 at home from Metastatic Brain Cancer.

John was raised in the Sontag Community of Franklin County on the family farm. He attended Sontag School, Franklin County Junior High and Franklin County High School.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother John Preston and Mary Ann Patterson Woody; grandparents, Albert and Mamie Preston Woody, J.E. and Mary Annie Fralin Patterson.

He is survived by his sister and brother Frances and Tony Woody, who will miss him greatly.

John loved working on old automobiles and tractors. He was the chief mechanic on the farm. He learned many trades just from watching others. He did many of the home repairs on the farm as well. He took up saw milling as a hobby later in life. John also had a great love for cattle, dogs, and cats.

The family would like to thank is Pulmonologist of many years, Dr. James Witten, Lewis Gale 4th floor in patient rehab staff, and the nursing staff and doctors, as well as the ACG nurses Jamie, Jaz, Tammy, Amy, and Pastor Clint.
