John Arthur Murdock

John Arthur Murdock, 89, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Murdock; brother, David Murdock & sister, Charlotte Cox.

Johnny retired from C & P Telephone Company & was an Army Veteran. He was a devoted member of Boydton Baptist Church. Johnny loved everyone & had many friends throughout the years. He never met a stranger. Johnny was a pilot & an entrepreneur.

Surviving are his nephews, Jimmy Cox, Jr. & wife, Robin; Carl Cox & wife, Rene; Alan Cox & wife, Cindy; niece, Carolyn Moreno & husband, Bobby; brother-in-law, Col. (Ret.) Jimmy Cox. The family would like to express special thanks to his dear friend, Dennis James.

As per his request he was buried immediately beside his dear wife, Audrey. A Celebration of His Life will be held in the Spring.
