John Eugene Barker

John Eugene Barker 83, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his home. He was born October 15, 1939, in Virginia to the late Joseph Barker and Virginia Mills Barker. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and enjoyed all sports, especially softball and football. He is survived by his wife, Delora Hubbard Barker; daughters, Marylin Hairston (Roy) and Lisa Lawrence (Anthony); grandchildren, Roy LaShawn, Rodney Lee and Kaitlin Mariah; and great-grandchildren, Jaylyn Sky, Rhianna Lynn, Sincere Monte and Everlee Rowan. The funeral will be Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Randy Aldridge and Steve Doby officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
