John Henry Patterson

John Henry “Dump” Patterson, 91, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. John was born on August 30, 1934 to the late Kate Kirks Patterson and the late Percy Patterson. He was also predeceased by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Juanita Gregory Patterson.

John was of the Christian Faith. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a school bus driver for many years with Pittsylvania County Schools, previous to his retirement.

John is survived by a son; John Timothy Patterson of Danville, VA. In addition to his parents, and loving wife, John was predeceased by two brothers; Charles and Calvin Patterson; and two sisters; Margaret Gregory and Annie Mae Scearce.
